Anyone who was here before I left will remember a discussion about starting up a Define Cynical Cafepress store, with all sorts of useful junk, like a 5hfifty 5hirt! We were going to ask David Simpsons permission beforehand, and some of the profit would go to him, and maybe a bit to the site in order to get a .com, .org or .net address. We would all make designs for the merchendise, and , the profit, if desired, would be portioned out. I don't want to do it for the money, so any money I get would be going to the site. So I guess this thread is for discussion, opinions, and so-forth.

Do you guys (still) like the idea of a Define Cynical store?

It sounds like a nice idea, as long as you don't violate any copyrights.

It's up to the creator/designer if he or she gets a cut. there'll probably be a set profit for David in all the prices, but anything over will go to the creator. I'll need to also cut some profit for the site itself.

It's fine with me as long as it's fine with D.C. Simpson.

Although I'm hurting for money right now and probably can't buy anything.

I'm for the idea, althoguh good luck trying to get through to simpson right now. his inbox is exedingly full.

I really think any forum game go-ers would like to see a 'thingy' shirt at some point., plus some of the walpapers would convert with great ease and look pretty good.

Well, i'd approve of this idea anyway.

And if only it were possible to sell Llewellyn inaction figures, or chicken hats. That would be sublime, but I guess that what cafpress does offer will simply have to suffice!

I dunno if the CD with the archives of O&M would go over well with simpson. The thought had come to my mind, but that would most probably depreciate sales from his Planet 9 site.
(hmm, if they can create cd's, can they create dvds?)
