It came in the mail today. Neat!

It had interesting items - including an obituary for Walt Kelly.

I'll try to scan some later.N

I scanned some stuff. Here you go

Here's an odd April Fools cartoon from "Pogo."

"Conchy" on newsprint shortage.

Some "Eek & Meek" cartoons.

A disturbing "Born Loser" comic.

A "Krazy" whistle.

Here's "B.C." on permits.

Some of Jules Feiffer's stuff.

Broom-Hilda and the trollmaid.

Broom-Hilda's attempt at romance.

And examples of early "Frank and Ernest."+*

Much appreciated for all those, especially the Kelly, Heriman and Feiffer ones.

If you want any Pogo, Krazy Kat, Eek & Meek or strips from Peanuts, MAD, Doonesbury's first years just ask.I

Thanks for reminding me that, yes, there was a time when B.C. was funny.(

So I'd heard. I always like seeing early strips in old comics when they're significantly different. "Blondie" used to be far more respectably written, like when Dagwood went on a 25-day hunger strike to win his parents' approval to marry outside his socioeconomic class.

Then there are cartoons like "Broomhilda," where the only change I've noticed between today and the '70s is that the title character quit smoking. (I imagine this was because it allegedly encouraged kids, despite her inferiority, but the cigars also had the downside of resembling a mustache.)
