The comic still isn't officially launched, but I intend to make this Episode 1.

I think I'll call it "Downscale," for several reasons.

Interesting, though, I suggest you create several strips, at least a couple storylines worth before officially launching it. That way, you can hook people, whereas if you only have 4 or 5 strips out, they may like them, but they'll soon forget and many won't return.

Well he's going to keep updating it twice a week so it'll have new strips as long as he continues.

I started uploading my comic with just one strip in the bag before hand and mine seems to be doing ok. Well, it got 3000+ visits last month.

At an LJer's advice, I did a neater version of Episode 1.

Comrade K, while a backlog isn't necessary, I think I'll make at least one more strip before pitching to Comic Genesis. After all, you barely see any characters in this one.

What mode are you scanning in? Because I always use 600 dpi monochrome and then convert to grayscale and size it down; it seems to be the best way to guarantee that the lines turn out black.

I think mine defaults to 300 dpi. I scanned in grayscale before, but then it wouldn't let me color except in grays. Hm, maybe if I convert from grayscale to color, it'll maintain the grays already in place.

I'll give this episode one more try....

Unless you switch to indexed colour, it will.

It's PNG using Octan's monochrome method. Aside from that, pretty much the same as the previous. Best of the bunch? I'm inclined to think so.

Ah, you mean Daniel Carl Simpson? yeah, he's been here before :wag: a Welsh name that's pronounced correctly.

Llewellyn, on the cast page, is NOT.

Yes, that one's definitely the best.
