My first song!

Postby VenM2 » Thu Jan 11, 2007 3:56 am

Well, these aren't related to O&M but it is a first for me! I have never composed a song before ever so this is quite a great moment. I mostly used Fruity Loop's default stuff but it is still good :? .

The first one is fairly generic but the second one is the better of the 2 even though it is shorter. I didn't record anything, I simply arranged the sounds to become music. Anyone can do it with a little practice but it may take a bit of skill and patience to make a song sound good. It'd be quite interesting if someone could make a O&M song .

SO what do you think?

Dude, that's some good stuff. I used to have FL but then my computer died and I can't find my disks anymore.

Cool stuff though, keep it up!

I'm not really into electronic music personally; but it was kinda enjoyable.

And that's saying something coming from me. ;)

Since I couldn't create custom patterns very well I used some default synthisized tones so it became electronic. I'll be making one more today.

Maybe not, kinda tired of making music now because of my freakish inability to actually STOP some instruments from constantly blowing. It gets kinda annoying when an organ won't stop playing when you want it to.

Pretty cool. Not bad music. I too am not much a fan of electronic music, but I still like some.

Well this new one I just finished isn't electronic, mostly just beat. It is a freakishly wacky song with over used phrases and a horrificly wacky beat to it. It was dedicated and based of my furry's alternate ego 'Pothead' who pilots a huge mech with chainguns. The song is wierd, the beat alone is likely to make one's mouth tighten into a smirk and the stupid overused phrases are alone enough to make one get fairly bored yet amused by how stupid this alter ego is. I think he said "Eat Lead!" 4 or 5 times alone in this 1 minute song and used the chain guns like 10 times or something and uttered a freaky laugh about 4 times too. I would put it up but I'm quite afraid to. Are you willing to listen to such a wacky song?

You make it sound like you wrote a modern Revolution 9. :o

That name sounds familiar but I don't really know R9. Boy I hate this song, it is so embarassing  . It is probably the beat, man that beat sounds so insane! It is a perfect "freaky wacky' beat IMO.

I make music with Adobe Audition sometimes, but I get tired of songs pretty quickly and end up ending them at about 1:30. They aren't awful. I might upload them sometime.

Those ones are pretty neato though. I could see... er, hear the first one in a videogame similar to Ratchet & Clank.

Revolution 9 is a song by The Beatles on the White Album that's basically a collection of weird (and sometimes disturbing) sounds. If it has a more direct purpose, it was lost on me. The "Paul is dead" conspiracy theorists apparently find many clues in it._
