A console becomes obsolete just as quickly as a PC in terms of gaming, the only differences being:
A) You can't upgrade a console and
B) They keep releasing games that have only small increases in quality over the course of the product lifespan.

I'd rather stick with my PC as it has much better games and I can also do this stuff. Can you do that on the Nintendo Wii?

You can download the Opera browser for the Wii upon launch for free for up to 6 months, then it's pay to download after that. So, yes, you can surf the internet on the Wii.

Oh yeah I don't give shit about new games But i still want to play some of them but for now im basically stuck to a 2003 game called C&C Generals and sometimes i play a 2002 game called Praetorians

Consoles sucks since it doesn't have the Full power of the all purpose pc...atleast in my opinion.

@5h ; My "deceased" (sp?) aunt used to have that pc, it has s**t loads of good 2d games like Chip, Doom and many more! ahh the good o'l days where pc's used to have huge a** floppy drives and a Turbo Button.

PC gaming is expensive only if you keep buying games. During my six years of gaming I've bought only four games, the first of which I played for about two years.

True that computer upgrades appear frequently but I changed only once in six years and I haven't had a problem.

I have never understood random computer problems. My Word hasn't screwed up anything I was writing. I have never seen a "blue screen of death". I don't know what people do with their computers to warrant these anomalies.

For me personally consoles ended when Sonic & Knuckles came out for the Mega Drive.

Don't need to. Any game you buy will work for it, and they will keep making games for the next 4 years at least. In many cases longer.

False, games improve greatly. Play Grand theft Auto 3, then play Las Santos. Huge difference between the games. There are probably no incidences of a consol not having great improvements over its lifespan

That's completely relative. I have only strategy games because that's what I like and have played those for 1+ or 2+ years without getting bored.
