Actually it's not unless the animal is killed in a certain way, but I don't know how that is done.Yes, but eating pork, bacon, or ham isn't a major offense according to your religion.
World Astonished at Suprise Saddam Trial Verdict

The only religion I know of which allows the eating of pork, but only if the pig is killed in a certain way, is Hinduism... the animal must be killed in a "non-violent" way, and must be drained of all blood. Different types of Hinduism have different definitions of what constitutes a "non-violent" death, though, so your mileage may vary. All of the Hindus I know in real life are vegetarians, actually...Actually it's not unless the animal is killed in a certain way, but I don't know how that is done.Yes, but eating pork, bacon, or ham isn't a major offense according to your religion.

Poor Brad

If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)

Or Judiasm, if it's been made Kosher as I recall. The only religion I know of which allows the eating of pork, but only if the pig is killed in a certain way, is Hinduism... the animal must be killed in a "non-violent" way, and must be drained of all blood. Edit- Whoops. Apparently not.
Islam? Also Notta.
Which, interesting enough, was one of the main sparks in the First War of the Indian Rebellion against the British Crown in 1857.

The execution may make things worse actually. It may make him into a matyr.I don't beleive that anyone has the right to take an individual's life away, no matter the individual's actions.
However, if his death means that the Iraqi Insurgents will stop shooting at my mate in the Royal Signal Corps, then kill away. I don't know Saddam, and I don't really care. I just want my friends to come home.
I totally agree.I am against the death penalty and I am NOT making an exception here. I wouldn't have made an exception if it was Stalin or Hitler either. I won't get into my views of life here because I don't want to get too political.
A life is a life, no matter what.

That's what my freind thinks will happen. Hope we're wrong. The execution may make things worse actually. It may make him into a matyr.I don't beleive that anyone has the right to take an individual's life away, no matter the individual's actions.

A few points
1. If they fed him only pork and ham it wouldn't be a problem because Islam allows its followers to eat pigs if no other food is available, and also because Saddam is securlist.
2. Saddam won't become a martyer since non of the fundementalist islam groups supported him because he was securlist
3. Saddam never should have been targeted. There are worse groups out there. Saddam wasn't even that bad to begin with. The only offences against him are his attack on Kuwait (which he thought America would support because of hteir support of the Iraq/ Iran war) gassing the Kurds (who were rebelling against his government) and not allowing weapons inspectors to inspect (which is bad, but not worth a war over.
