It's Mole day!

Well, it is.

http://www.moleday.org/

We had a party in Chem, so it was cool.
I'm here, you just can't see me!

Triggerpoint is my not so new webcomic, and currently under heavy work before it resurfaces.

It's been a while since high school...

I'd forgotten about Avogadro's Number (the approximate value, that is).

My chemistry teacher in high school fancied himself a comedian. He always called it Avocado's Number. It was funny the first 600 times I heard it. :P

I remember this. We had cake that day!
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Being in Biology this year, I didn't celebrate it. But I did last year, and it was a BLAST!

Being an English major, I have no idea what we're talking about

I don't ever remember hearing about this back in my high school days though.

We had a minimal celebration in PHYSICS class.
Havin' guacamole sure beat lectures, though :D.

Rest of the science dept. did some fun-looking stuff, though. Like full-on parties.

So not mole as in the award winning gameshow, then?

I'm ever so slightly disappointed.

...How comes the url tags don't work in my sig if they're working there?

Because in your sig, they don't begin with "www." or "http://".
If they actually converted to links, then they'd point to http://definecynical.mancubus.net/haunt ... ournal.com and http://definecynical.mancubus.net/gizen ... ournal.com. Neither of which is, in fact, correct or intended. (Without either of those prefixes, my browser has no way to tell if that's an absolute or relative URI.)

Also, it might also be a security check to keep you from using mhtml: or javascript: links. Image

I remember when my high school teacher did mole day. I made a power point of a bunch of mole clip are and named them all for it. The teacher had it play while we partied :)
