If you could choose six people from any point in history to have round for dinner and conversation, who would they be? Things like age, location or language doesn't matter.

(Idea stolen from a BBC programme but acknowledged still).

Well, I suppose I should limit it to speakers of Modern English to maximize conversability. Thus:
