Considering if the worst thing humans had to worry about was burnt toast, whenever it occured we would consider it something horrendous, and those of us that believe in a devine being would question why S/He/It allowed it to happen to them...
...I don't think that any observations of a balance in nature are any more than human beings (if you'll pardon the expression) seeing patterns in things that aren't there. Nore do I think that there is a true sign of the divine in the regular universe, nore do I think there could be one, or at least that there could be a universal one (never underestimate the human (again, if you'll pardon the expression) ability to interprit things completely differently from the person standing next to him/her/etc. If any divine being were to write "I exist. Pay attention to Me" out of clouds and leave them there for five years...
i) You'd get people yelling "coincidence"
ii) You'd get people yelling "divine intervention"
iii) You'd get people who didn't notice
iv) You'd get people who used it as an opportunity to point out that they once saw a cloud that was shaped like a bunny or whatever.
I would probably fit into category iv), as this post might illustrate, and debate between categories i) and ii) probably wouldn't get anywhere.
But yes, wonderful strip.
As for panel 2, note the fact the background is a zoom-in on the yin-yang symbol. I would suggest those of you wondering where you can find that arguement, I would assume that said background is relevent to what Millie is saying... (And, incidently, I love how subtle that's done.)
Yeah, I love the philosophical strips

Livejournal, GreatestjournalSirQuirkyK: GSNN argued that Unanonemous is to sociologists what DoND is to statisticians
Gizensha Fox: ...Porn?
Falls under iii), I think.I think I fall under v.
v) You's get people who sit there and play video games.
...Mmm... Playing videogames and rolling up the "I exist. Pay attention to Me." clouds...

I think it'd be better if the bottom half of the Yin-Yang symbol was left White, not colored a faint blue.
Anyway, this kinda implies with my complex belief. I do think there is good and Evil, for every Bad turn there is a good one and vica versa (Along with my angel/Demon concept)
as for what Catagory I fit in, I'd say i) Those who say it's a coincidence.
