Let's hope I guessed correctly. You can click the original for now if it still isn't updated yet.<br><br>Remember all those textbooks Captain Locke pillaged from the school? I think that helps to explain why he shows up here. This is still rather strange to consider, because it brings up the question "How did he get there?" Does the chest of books have another portal to the world under the couch? Did Llewellyn put him in there for Ozy to find when he needed books? Is this one of those things we're supposed to accept, or is it better for us to question the system?<br><br>Still, I'd like to see the author's comments on this strip and what inspired him to make this plot twist.<br><br>EDIT: The URL and date were removed since they were totally wrong anyway. Oh well..

This is O&M, logic need not apply. I was kinda hoping that we'd see some signal of life from DCS and get at least a one-off Christmastime "Hey, I'm still breathing" strip (or at least a pic of Millie proclaiming her love for cheese and a small explanaton). But, if he's teaching a course and doing something productive with his life, more power to him. After all, he has to pay his electric bills or we don't even get the re-posts!

Hey, this isn't anything worth starting a new thread over, so I'll just rudely butt in here with something off topic (sorry, Tav): As the year is coming to a close, Mr. Simpson will have to start a new page in the archives! Do you know where I'm going with this?It means that there'll have to be another pose of Ozy and Millie wearing variated cloths to go with the yearly archive page. Right now I'm dieing for something new. Anything. But since Mr. Simpson is so danged busy, he might not do it immediately. Idduno.

Yay! It's 2 days after Tavis predicted, but the strips finally up. Locke is one of my favorite characters by far. He's too funny. I just watched "Pirates of the Carribean" the other night, and, thanks to Sabre's old pic in his sig, was continuously looking for Locke to make an appearance in the movie. I think he would have fit in perfectly with Jack Sparrow.

Cool, it's up! Locke was such an unusual character that despite how difficult it was for Simpson to write about him, it was inevitable that he would bring the youthful pirate back into the strip. It's clear that Locke has established himself a fanbase at least as strong as some of the more commonly recurring characters like Isolde and Stephan. Again, I want to say I thought it was rather appropriate that Locke would be found among the books, considering that over a year before that strip, Locke had pillaged the school's math books when he was disguised as Millie.

I always did like locke! Of coarse, im the type of person who can accept something just as it is, and not look for to many flaws(that is, until i see a gaping plot hole or something, then i'll tear it to shreads!). Locke just hit me as a lucky child who got what many dream about, after having lived life growing younger from adulthood. <br>Locke has always added something different, and i must say that the appearance of locke pillaging the school was not a failure in my books. I thought that went over quite well! this storyline is also a classic, because it comes in the midst of a greater story arc, but separates itself nicely.

I think that's one of the reasons O&M works better as an internet strip--long story arcs. Some stories go for months, and few strips in papers will hold a story arc for a week before it becomes old an uninteresting. DCS has a way of making months-long story arcs remain funny and unrepetitive. The story either advances and is funny, or doesn't advance at all, but is still hilariously irrelevent. I think random humor works best over long runs, as it can never really repeat itself.
