Lots of editors can't handle animated GIFs and discard all but the first frame. GIMP is what I used, since it can handle them.
Crapthewhaaaa?!! I never knew the GIMP had an animated GIF editor! Geez, what am I doing messing around with Paint Shop for then. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, GIMP does...it's what I used. And no, my graphics card is an ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512mb, so that's not the problem. No, something messed up, because the gif is not even saving as an animated one. Animated gifs were working fine last week. I'm going to tinker about, see what I can find.

Edit: I dislike Paint Shop. All I need are Photoshop and GIMP.

Yeah, each layer is treated as a frame.

Put the display time for the frame (XXms) in the layer name, as well as the type of display (combine/replace). If you leave either out you can specify defaults when you go to save as GIF (it'll ask you if you want to merge all layers or save as an animations).

It works the same way when loading an animated GIF.

Unfortunately it's rather unwieldy when you have lots of frames you want to change the rate or type of.

Oops, I figured out why my resize looks like @#%&... it was in 1-bit black/white... eheheh.... fixed:
