i can see it now an epic tail of a bee. his home colony distroyed by the murderous wasps. now he seeks revenge but will his new family except him, and what about tolulla?

Perhaps the bee allies with some tarantulas who can shoot webs 20 feet?

These hornets are awesome. I can hear helicopter sounds being played over some video of them.

Well, except once when I hit a crow and it smashed...at 40mph. Fun, eh?

I don't think they look too bad, there's a beauty to some bugs, like butterfly's and wasps. Compare with cockroaches or tapeworms. If you were shown two pictures, a wasp and a tapeworm, I'm betting almost everyone would find the wasp more appealing.

Just as long as they don't come near you in anger.

I had a cockroach fly into me once, very unpleasant. It might've gotten angry at me.

Having one of these fly into you though...I think it would get angry, and, with a quarter-inch stinger, it might express it's frustrations ;\
