Hmm, I could have sworn I've seen her wear different clothes occasionally in the strip. Heh, and it just occured to me, it'd be kinda hard to properly wear a cape if your tail kept getting in the way.

It's a refference to a particular syndrome that usually occurs in hostage negotiations. It's where the hostages identify with their captors.

The song is named after that too

I'm unfamiliar with that band; as noted above, it's a reference to the syndrome wherein hostages come to identify with their captors, the most famous example being Patty Hearst.Stockholm Syndrome! That's a MUSE the band reference, huh? I haven't heard the song, but it's on their album Absolution. I like the song, "Time Is Running Out" better!

Well, sure. There's the "I'm with Stupid" shirt, but she must have gotten tired of holding the globe. There's her aquamarine dress and the once-required school uniform, but she doesn't care for those. No, stashing capes around town is a better idea for her. Of course, they'd have to be generic rather than emblemed for her level of spontaneity. And it's apparent that she hasn't seen The Incredibles.Hmm, I could have sworn I've seen her wear different clothes occasionally in the strip.
I doubt it's really Stockholm syndrome. There are a few possibilities at work here:
1. Cartoonists want to shake their uncool image.
2. Few cartoonists are creative enough to think of nerdy superpowers.
3. Physical action is much more interesting to view, draw, or simulate with toys.
I'd say #3 is the most important factor. But the SS idea is interesting. And the story arc continues to enrapture me.

Stockholm Syndrome is sometimes dissapointing.I'm unfamiliar with that band; as noted above, it's a reference to the syndrome wherein hostages come to identify with their captors, the most famous example being Patty Hearst.Stockholm Syndrome! Millie's cape looks like a blanket. Did she steal that from Linus?!
