my computer is a peice of crap. It run's fine for a computer from 2003 or whenever I got it, but some of the hardware is not compatable with nearly any distrobution of any operating system than windows unless you feel like spending hours extra making it work.<br><br>...that's really all you need to know about it. I want to get a new laptop for christmas.

An even better place to lookin Windows is "System Information", which usually resides somewhere like this:<br><br>Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information<br><br>And yes, I tend to agree. Linux is hard to get to work on laptops . . . there's almost always one more device driver to find, unless you're willing to use a big name company distro like SUSE.
