Autumn is a wonderful word and allows you to use autumnal when speaking of autumn. Fall on the other hand sounds childish, under appreciative and must thus be annihilated.

It also triggers confusion in small fox children.

I usually say "autumn" instead of "fall" as well.

I usually say "Bah, I can't wear shorts anymore."

That's pretty much what I say as well.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

That thing happens to my mind too if nobody is talking. Which is why my friends have learned to distract me with candy and/or caffiene.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

Has Millie never heard the phrase "Spring has sprung"? The name is already appropriate.

My older co-workers were taught to spell the seasons with initial caps; now they need to be corrected. Not an issue in all-caps text.

Hey, that made me realize that that is probably where 'herfst' comes from. A contracted version of 'harvest'.

It is, actually. Both words descend from the Germanic word 'harbistaz'. It's possible that the word is related to 'sharp' as well as Latin 'carpere' (as in 'carpe diem'), with a general meaning of plucking, picking or cutting.
