The Simpsons movie

Postby Tabris_The_17th » Fri Aug 03, 2007 4:33 am

I've been waiting 17 years for this movie...........and it was well worth it :D

I had to listen to SO much negativity towards this movie as I was waiting for the release date. People saying it's 10 years too late or that it will "suck like the show does now." I ignored them all and did my best to keep my hopes high. Deep down I still had that fear it wouldn't be what I wanted it to. Well, my expectations were well met. This flick was great!

Without saying any spoilers, all I can say is that what should be funny is downright funny, and what should be heartfelt or touching is surprisingly really heartfelt/ touching. And I'm sure some people are going to complain that Lisa's story was unnecessary or pointless. I'll admit, it doesn't offer too much to the plot, but it's still cute.

Thoughts anyone?

I laughed until I ruptured something vital. I'll talk to you guys again after the hospital finds a new kidney for me.

My thoughts are... "They were making a Simpsons movie? Don't they already have one? Or two, or three...?"

I thought it was a pretty decent movie, Bart skateboarding totally nude through Springfield nonwithstanding. And of course how Homer manages to royally screw everything up before eventually saving the day in the end.
