The state of Michigan spends less on the education budget than it does on prisons, is one of the most taxed states in the nation, and is looking to make cuts in that budget.

The most amazing piece of info there, to me, was the projection information will be doubling every three days before long.

You don't make room in your schedule for death? Weird.

I don't know about you but I would certainly rather have stupid kids on the streets then criminals.

I dunno. You can send criminals to jail, but what can you do to stupid kids without getting sued?

You can't send the criminals to jail if funding for prisons gets cut

Stupid kids are more likely to become criminals later. ;)

Disclaimer: The following is my own opinions based on my personal experience and education. I am no more than a teenager who tries to be fair, but also is patriotic and loyal to his country before the rest of the world. If you disagree with what I have to say, please continue to debate my points tactfully, and without personal attacks against me and my values.

Good, bad, ugly.

Most of the information in the video, I don't see the problem in. So technology is growing at an exceedingly high rate? We knew this already. I did not know about the $100 laptop program or that a computer more powerful than the human brain was being built, but I support these "facts" as positive.

Now for what is bad about that video. So the united states spends more money on videogames than education. That's most of the world's problem with us, (I think) is that in the US, a private company can make more money and have more impact than government programs. And yes the US work ethic is just... crap. People make excuses that: immigrants (illegal or otherwise) are taking jobs away, Racism, and other useless excuses. The US is still the most powerful country in the world.

Ugly. These are parts of the video that don't mean much because of unaccounted points, and points that were made to look good/bad when they are not.
Firstly, "[china] have more honor students than we have students" this is quite simple. There are more of them, so the amount of honor students is obviously going to be higher. Someone give me the percentage of honor students out of every child in china, versus the Percent of honor students in all of the US.
Next, China and India's population. The placement and music in the video make it seem like their population growth being greater than the US is a good thing. Did you know that in china, there are institutions where children (mostly girls) are tied down to chairs and kept alive (barely) just so the country isn't convicted of national crimes? There are also LAWS against having multiple children.
One more point and I'm done (for now) the video takes a moment to say "Name this country... Richest, largest military, center of business, education, innovation, currency standard, highest living" It names this country England. Now I'll break this down bit by bit.
Richest country in the world- The united states was once the richest country in the world, and is now failing due to it's ill-management of resources. These things are constantly fluctuating with the times. No one can tell the future, and good leadership is all it takes to turn it around.
Largest military- They require more man-power in their military, more gov't spending on salaries, and that means more lives in harms way. The United States has the worlds most powerful military, if not the largest.
Center of business- England has a position on the earth that happens to place it in a perfect trading position, not to mention it's long history of power in foreign nations. It is only natural that it is the world's center for commerce, not a monumental achievement.
Education- England has the better education system, I will admit. However, you will do better in living with a United States educational degree, despite learning more and having a better education in other countries.
Innovation and technology- England has existed for so long it is second only to china. With that it is debatable that it has had more technological impact on the world, however the united states and Japan both have made massive contributions to the world, not to mention Germany's Johan Gutenberg, named the most influential man in the millennium for his Printing press.
Currency world standard- Now this I do not understand fully. The two main currencies in Europe are Pounds and Euros. As far as I know the Frank is still in use but I may be wrong. I do not know much on this subject but to my knowledge the American dollar is accepted worldwide, as much or more than the Euro, which is not exclusively from England.
Highest Standard of Living- England has street bums and poor people just like the rest of the world. Just because it's less well known and the country is considered more polite society, doesn't mean your living is better. "Standard of living" is also opinion, not an equatable factor.
