Early Christmas Thread

Aye, I know it's still a good ways off, but I usually always seem to enjoy the thought of a hot cup of cinamon cocoa by a cherry fire... with family, or a loved one safely huddled in a log cabin on a frosty Christmas day

Late October or early November is when I usually change my personal fursona to that of a deer, sinse it is such a lovely season for that particular animal (folks in the IRC chat have already experienced my silly bucky'ness)

my tree is begging to be let out of the box, and the flashy christmas colored lights are pleading to be lit... and I have a full month's supply of that yummy cocoa safely tucked away in my kitchen cabinet

cinamon flavored candles are usually always lit, but I tend to add some nice holly or mistletoe decorations on to them about mid november...

and those tastey candies.. who could resist those colorful jewl like candy mints in those Christmasy tins? .. **sighs while in a dream-like daze**

Yep... I will not deny, I'm a Christmas nutt!

And if ya got a problem about it, we can descuss it over a cup of peppermint coffee.. ;)

candy canes for all!!

Although it is true that Christmas seems to be devouring the other holidays. The only one who can stand against it is the Easter Bunny. ... How does it lay all those eggs anyway? I'm confoosed.

Maybe its really an Easter Platypus and our parents and/or the media have just lied to us. Platypus lay eggs.

Things are so much less confusing on Discworld, they've got a Soul Cake Duck instead that distributes eggs.

Since Christmas OFFICIALLY ends January 6, you can beat the commercialism at its own game by buying your gifts on December 26, and then giving them over the next 12 days.

This is what we do in our family. I just hope I've got some leftover dough when Boxing Day rolls around.

It's a good thing it's still a few months away, because I hate having to sit in front of a fire with some cocoa, especially if it's with family on some stereotypical manufactured fake log cabin in the middle of a freezing, shivering and frostbiten Christmas Day.

Early December is when I usually change from being in the thrall of my favourite season Autumn into being depressed and cold from the bleak desolation of snowy wastelands that is December (folks in IRC haven't experienced this because I rarely go there).

My factory made, plastic, falling apart eight year old tree is begging to be let out of its box to make its gaudy trifling baubles decorate a dark corner of the living room again. Just in case, I have a full month's supply of sleeping pills to get me through the season, safely tucked away in my kitchen cabinet.

Cinnamon flavoured candles are rarely lit because I don't eat candles and I never put up holly because it can cut as bad as paper, nor do I put up mistletoe in case some annoying relative has the temerity to attempt a kiss.

And those tasteless plastic synthetically falvoured candies... who could enjoy those colourful jewel like decorative ornaments? **moans from the impending doom of seeing them everywhere**

Yes... I will not deny, I'm a Christmas avoider.

And if you've got a problem about it, we can discuss it over a cup of cyanide laced coffee I shall offer anyone full of the commercial present-only Christmas spirit.
