First, we will drain the earth of it's magma core, and then we will fill it with snacks as an offering to the great one!

Okay, two more:

Quote:

what's a neo-dadaidist?

The dictionary says that dadaism is a movement in art and/or literature based on deliberate irrationality and negation of traditional artistic values. I guess, then, that neo-dadaidism is a recent movement in art that is very non-classical. That, and typing with one hand while holding a book with the other is difficult.

Quote:

what does consternation mean?

consternation n. amazed dismay and confusion

it's not that far off topic yet, is it? well, in any case, i think all that needed to be asked has been, so it really doesn't matter anymore

Dadaism is only as recent as the first World War. Attaching bicycle wheels to stools(referencing a work by Marcel Duchamp titled "Bicycle Wheel", made in 1913), attaching spikes to an iron(ref. Man Ray's "Gift" work, 1921), or putting seran wrap over a toilet seat and placing a fake eyeball in the middle(just a variation on a prank I thought up) are all examples. "Dada" doesn't mean anything, pretty much, which is why it's the name of this odd art form. "Dada" was just a random word picked from a French dictionary that means "hobby horse", which is insignificant in and of itself anyway, adding to the perfection of the random name. It was created to liven people's spirits in such war-torn days. Duchamp painted a moustache on a reproduction of the Mona Lisa, and a friend of his named Francis Picabia(French painter guy) nailed a toy monkey to a board and labled it "Portrait of Czanne". These are both examples of Dadaism.
Dada was sort of a mindset, some say, and it mocked art in an inorderly fashion.

Bibliography: My textbook for my Art History class I took a couple years back. It was non-returnable, so it came in rather handy. It has pictures!

A joke on the person buying the art, more likely.

I recently saw an article in the newspaper where someone took a chair out of the trash and put it in an art gallery. It's price tag was $4600. (US) No kidding.
