What I know of Hyperion, I know from footnotes of Hamlet, where the prince said that comparing his dead dad to his newly crowned uncle was like comparing "Hyperion to a satyr."

According to Wikipedia:"Hyperion (Greek Ὑπερίων) is a Titan, the son of Gaia (Earth) and Uranus Helios Hyperion, 'Sun High-one'" and "Hyperion plays virtually no role in Greek culture and little role in mythology"
