1. It was only half a prize. The rest belongs to the IPCC.
2. Al Gore is very much responsible for a lot of people's concerns about climate change - although the Peace Prize may not be the best prize for his efforts.
3. His film remains mostly accurate, it was really just a few exaggerations. He's a politician.
4. The general consensus is that we're damaging the environment through our use of fossil fuels. Even if we aren't, we still need to stop burning fossil fuels because they will soon run out, the need for them causes conflict, it's expensive, and changing the delicate atmospheric balance could have disastrous consequences, which we simply cannot risk.

His film reminded me of American Televangelism, and everything he said I either knew, or knew was wrong/based on heresay and theories.

He annoys me more than Michael Moore, as I do kinda agree with both their messages and what they're trying to do...I just think they themselves are assholes.
