I have a feeling that thousands of years from now, when archeologists are digging up stuff we're using right now, one of the written things they'll find is some sort of nonsensical gibberish like that of Timulty's blog. Then they will spend vast man-hours deciphering its meaning, when in fact it had no meaning to begin with. This amuses me.

I know, , but that's what I thought of when I saw this strip.

Heh, kind of topic that belongs in Avery's blog, perhaps.

Probably as meaningful as anything in his blog.

I remember reading that CDs are expected to work for about a hundred years, if you handle them like fine china. But they haven't been around that long, so who knows?

Mmm, study I read said that most CD's last about 5 years or less, 10 at the most if you're *very* lucky, DVD's even less.

DVDs have to be stored vertically, because they get "DVD rot." since DVDs are a couple of years old now, older DVDs are starting to get this problem. You need to be careful with DVDs, you may lose information if not stored properly.

DCS should've ended the comic a year or two ago.

The information about DVDs is interesting. Thanks.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.
