Hehee! It appears Ms. Mudd was a lot like Millie in her youth.

The next installment in the story is eagerly awaited.
Personally, I believe that he did it to keep from having to start the story of Ozy's parents on Friday, then make us have to wait a whole weekend to start hearing the rest. A good idea, in my opinion.

I always loved the "Calvin and Hobbes" stories that took three weeks worth of strips. When I try to write a story like that, I have trouble stretching it out over two. It's a matter of coming up with enough punch lines related to the plot. That's part of why I envy people who write for TV -- they don't have to make a joke every X panels like we do.

("We"? D'oh. I'd forgotten about that one too. Nice catch.
I like the way these build up at the rate they do. It helps provide suspense, and allow the readers to look for the details that make the journey as fulfilling as the destination.

Certainly a life-changing experience for Ozy deserves a full story arc, especially considering the amount of time that was spent letting Millie discover her roots. Now whether something will emerge from the discovery or not will ultimately depend on what we and Ozy learn when the truth is finally revealed.
