i don't think power's corrupting, per se. I prefer the adage that "The best sort of politician is someone who doesn't want to be one." - ie. the worst sort of leader is someone who actively wants power. Therefore, it's not the power that corrupts, it's the person who's already corrupted. The power just sort of... opens them up. If power was really corrupting, then every leader would be a tyrant.

The solution is therefore simple. What needs doing is, we find the people who really don't want to be in charge, and put them in charge. Then, since they're constantly watching themselves in case they become corrupted, they'll become good leaders.

On that note, therefore, I am going to choose power, because I don't WANT to choose power.

Wohoo! I'm becoming Zenlike!

EDIT: Nope, I was wrong. Perhaps power does corrupt, after all

Rubber chicken. It's fun to jiggle it around.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

Hrm. I read that "form" as "forum". We're not that bad, are we?

Back home in Germany, I always wonder what to write in my signature. Well, exactly the same. That's why I'm so stunned.

(I can only suggest the "Hitchhiker" books. Though they are written by an Englishman, it is full of intelligent, yet very crazy humour.)

Yes I can't imagine what that would mean, especially since Phoenix is British.

Out of those choices, I would take power. Having money is nice, but as long as I can live comfortably, I don't need a lot of cash. Power is not necessarily corrupting. Look at historical figures like Alexander the Great, Winston Churchill, and Gandhi. I would argue that none of them were corrupt. However, to throw a wrench in the gears, I would prefer a combination of money and power; a bit of both.
