Poor Ozy is always the victim in these kind of strips. Here he is, peacefully playing by himself, and BAM! weirdness strikes again!

Ozy was doing good with those cards. I know I can't stake them worth a flip.

That's more a tactic to cover their tails by differentiating the real campaign ads from the ones put forth by political action committees.

I doubt they really approve those messages. I bet it's a pre-recorded segment they use for every commercial, meaning someone could make a phony commercial and attach their seal of approval to it...

...I smell dragons at work here.

I'd love a house like theirs.

Ah, that's right. You're in Australia. Over here, this year anyway, most radio and TV campaign commercials end with the voice of the candidate saying "I'm So-and-So, and I approved this message." I think it's so you'll know the commercial was made by the candidate's own campaign staff and not some whacko who thinks So-and-So ought to be President. Back in 2000, there were a lot of ads made by whackos apparently, and the candidates were getting blamed for it.

BTW, just out of curiosity, what years do they have elections for Prime Minister over there?

We had the election last weekend.

I didn't get it entirely either - here we have nothing at the end of campaign ads like that, we just have a guy talking really fast.

Nope. I've seen them all over the place. "Hello, I'm generic office hopeful and I approve this message."

I found this strip rather funny
