Of course we'd have to find a voice to play.... the teacher of Ozy and Millie's class.

No doubt she'd at least have to make a cameo appearance during the movie.... these kids do go to school, you know....

I was thinking along the lines of a high-pitched and somewhat annoying voice.... something that I actually did myself... found here or here

Considering that not too many people out there know that Ozy and Millie even exists, the movie would very likely have to be of relatively low budget, probably costing less than $1 million U.S. Dollars to make.

In fact, it'd be considerably cheaper if you used no-name voices..... like the ones found here on this very message board. Personally, I'd do it for free if that was a necessity, though a nice grand or two would be better. Besides, we've already got a fairly good idea of what most of the voices should sound like.

Okay, I was actually planning to start a thread of my own to take voice suggestions, because guess what... I have an idea for a (cheapish) Ozy and Millie computer game! It's called "Ozy and Millie and the Taco of Doom" (yes, after that one strip) and it's part "Monkey Island"-style adventure game, part 2D platformer. Part of the adventure part is already scripted and everything even. Anyway, I knew I'd need voices for it so I started looking and here's what I came up with, and keep in mind these are all from cartoons so you might not be familiar with them:
As Ozy: Jason Marsden (he was in some sitcom, but I know him as Tino from "The Weekenders")
As Millie: Kath Soucie (she's in probably everything Disney has done in the last few years, and her voice just popped into my head while I was reading the strip. plus she does a lot of kinda mischievous girl characters)
As Llewellyn: either David Hyde Pierce ("Frasier", "A Bug's Life") or Arthur Holden (Mr. Ratburn on PBS' "Arthur", in case Pierce is too expensive)
As Ms. Mudd: also Kath Soucie (she also plays a lot of young-mother voices, and it wouldn't be the first time she's starred opposite herself anyway)
As Capt. Locke, who IS in the game as I've planned it: Neil Ross (he played a midged pirate wannabe in the "Monkey Island" video games, and he really does do a good young-pirate voice)
As Felicia, who is NOT in the game: whoever does the voice of Myrtle in "Lilo and Stitch" (she's exactly that kind of character anyway; I don't know her name because she's just listed under "Additional Voices" in the credits)

* Gasp! * Anyway, I guess I'll have to hear Kevin Kline's voice again, but Jason is a TV actor so he'll be cheaper to get anyway.
Now, as for a "theme song": I was thinking it would have to be something by "Weird Al" Yankovic because, let's face it, it's THAT kind of strip. But for some reason, when I read the comic, Jump5 comes more readily to mind. Huh.

Interesting note: Lewellyn is a red CELTIC Dragon... would that not imply that instead of an English accent, he'd be more likely to have an Irish one? just food for thought....

Oh I know it says it somewhere.... I think it may have been in an old words section possibly. Or maybe in the Ozy adoption storyline actually...

Let's see here, let's see here...

Ozy
something like Linus from Peanuts except a bit deeper

Millie
forgive me, but I don't picture Dr. Doog's voice for Millie (but his impressions are nonetheless highly amusing.) I see her as the JAM once put it: deeper and with more rasp to it. Perhaps something like that Ravan girl from Teen Titans exept a bit more chipper.

Llewellyn
Kevin Kline

Ms. Mudd
Don't really know. But she should sound mature and credibly intellegent while still human and reasonably fun-loving.

Avery
Jack Black

Timulty
That kid from Malcom in the Middle

Felicia
Alicia Silverstone

Isolde
Don't really know that either. Should sound a little on the high side and should be teenaged. Other than that I don't know how to elaborate.

Captain Locke
I had normally pictured him with a stereotypical adult pirate voice, but when MandoAndy did his impressions, it seems more on target. So something like MandoAndy's.

Quote: (Miles Cerulean Celebi Prower)

Considering that not too many people out there know that Ozy and Millie even exists, the movie would very likely have to be of relatively low budget, probably costing less than $1 million U.S. Dollars to make.

No, no American film could possibly cost less than $1 million. For a low-budget flick, you'd have to be talking under $20 million.
