I heard that they scrapped the giant squid alien from the end. Is this true?

Just watched the movie a couple hours ago, and...it was much darker than I thought it would be. Then again, I knew nothing about Watchmen before I watched it. Intense movie though.

Just saw it tonight, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I liked the ending because it was rather cynical. Some pretty epic quotes, too.

Anything that had to do with the prison was my favorite part of the movie. It made me happy when he killed the midget. Seriously, that guy is in everything. It was nice to see his blood for once.

that scene was horrible though, they dumbed it down so much. seeing the blood was disappointing

I'm pretty sure there was blood in the comic. Its hard to tell what with the coloring style.

And then water seeps under the door. And perhaps blood. Again, coloring scheme.

Edit: Granted the movie does put a zoom-in emphasis on the water.
