Ah, I see, I thought you meant that (kind of). The way I see it, the Christian God makes little sense; the world as it appears to us correlates pretty well with a god who either doesn't know/care about us, can't do anything about it, is a bit of a bastard or does not exist - none of which would apply to the Christian god.

Take another religion, though; let's say Jainism. Jainists believe that every soul has the possibility to become conscious as God, and experience infinite knowledge, perception, power and bliss. They do not believe that there was ever any creator, nor do they believe that any divine beings intervene; they believe that the universe regulates itself. Does this idea of God not seem more sensible than the Christian one?

If I was a typical Christian, my answer to that would be "God works in strange ways." In other words, whatever happens, god planned it all along.

Yeah, if I was god, I wouldn't want all those hooligans on Earth to be spending their weekdays at church and depending on me to fix all their problems and send everyone they don't like to an eternity of suffering. I would just want them to stfu and enjoy their life. I don't believe a god like the Christian one could exist. He seems kind of stupid. Why would he send non-believers who are good people to purgatory when he can just give people proof that he exists? Surely an all-knowing god would know better than the Christians who think the only way to be a moral and good person is to adopt the ones prewritten for you in the bible. I refuse to believe the overlord of the universe is a douche. So, in the end, if I go to hell (I'm a heretic, that's level 6 I think :3) I'll blame god for not being worthy of my belief.
