It's really not a part of the directive, it's just a way of saying HEY HERE I AM PLEASE EXECUTE ME.I guess I never thought of the # sign as part of the directive, more a way to separate directives from SGML comments...Not talking about Apache configuration directives dude, talking about Apache SSI directives.

I too prefer the old image so I'm glad that we at least have the option to choose it.
Come on people, conform!I think I'll stick with the old one. I just am not a fan of the new one.
