with Dragon humor, he is implying the only reason he addopted Ozy was to eat him as a snack sometime later.

with "Don't you hate it when this happens?" , Ozy is messing around with millie, trying (successfully ) to get her to yell something rediculouse so all can hear, and be very confused about. I've done this to others/had this done to me/seen this done several times, and is is pretty funny.

if you don't know who abbot and costello are, there is no excuse and you should be dragged into the street and tarred and feathered. they did the "Who's on First" routine (one of there most recognizable) and many others, stared in several movies and guest stared on many shows.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

As far as the lunch tray one, it gets crowded and noisy in school cafeterias, and it's hard to hear (I've always had hearing problems). Millie was making a simple observation: Ozy got a red lunch tray, but Ozy couldn't hear Millie, and Millie kept saying it louder and louder until she screamed it for the whole cafeteria to hear. That one may be one of those you'd have to experience to get kind of things. My elementary school had plastic lunch trays, blue and red. Everyone always got red, and the blue were pretty rare. I remember being on both sides of a similar situation when I was little. When you're 8, lunch tray color is good conversation.

That lunch tray one is one of my favorites, mainly because it (was) pretty random and crazy.

Oh, it's a classic. I'd hate to guess, because from what I know, it could have anywhere between 20s to the 40s.

It may be before your time, but so are things like the Beatles, "Gone With the Wind," and Shakespeare, but they linger on as classics. Am I comparing Abbot and Costello to Shakespeare? No, but you get the point.

Still, with 100 years of movies and 50 years of television specials going on this past year, there was no way you ould have missed classic comedy like that.

The Who's on First routine was also done on the radio.. bookstores have the audio on tape for it.

this came up before hand, a while ago, actually. everyone here knows of the Monica Lewinski scandal of bill clinton. Teapot dome was a scandal of a different era and different sort. I didn't get breakfast this morning, and have a terible memory tot boot, so i can't recall what it was. It was mentioned SOMEWHERE in one of the topics that took its own path, but good luck finding it!

I'm a little lazy and pressed for time to do it right now, but a Search for "Teapot Dome" beyond the default time period ought to work.
