I do believe mine is a little self-explainitory, but if you want to get into details (which is something you never want to do in some "other" aspects of my life) the name came from my friend and I, who used to write letters to a "Dear (whoever)" colum in the news paper. This man was an over-political racist. So we used to write big, confusing, and contradicting letters to him, to get back at him for all the people he demeaned. We always signed it Liberal & Cynical. Until the day he finaly retired, and I must say some of his cynicism did rub off on me, hense LiberalCynic.

I named myself after the bird called Osprey, which is a fishing bird that lives out here on the northwest coast. I believe it may live elsewhere, but I'm not so sure.

Anyways, we have a great nesting ground for Osprey in North Vancouver, and I remember being awestruck by these magnificent birds. Soon after this, I joined my first forum, and I could only think of one name I wanted to go by.

Naming is always a nightmarish experience for me, somehow.

There was a time when I was picking out a screenname I would use for stuff I did online, so I decided to make up something that sounds like an actual name, or something of the sort. I was mixing up different combinations of first names and last names, and I eventually got to "Kyle Thatcher". After that, I just jumbled up a few letters and got to "Kyler Thatch".

That brings up some painful memories. I had a friend once who used to do that. He burned his hands serverly and almost blew up the can. So to make a long story short, don't use a homemade flamethrower to light fire crackers.

Many mandolinists will nickname themselves MandoJon, or MandoGreg, or MandoAmanda if you're looking for a mouthful. I like MandoAndy. Has a cool ring to it.

My username is just the first three letters of my real name, Gene, with the number '200' at he end, 'cause 20 wasn't long enough to fit the six-charcter rule.

I made it when I was 8.

it was the first alias I had on the internet and definitley wasn't the last.

I also go by Shadowman_Jomei on RP forums, Jomei being the name of my Fursona, and Shadowman just sounds cool.
