A good one is expensive. A school or Library should have one. Another method is to take a picture with a digital camera. I don't have either, so I take pictures with my camera-phone and e-mail them to myself.

If you have a second-hand office supply store nearby you can probably find a decent one pretty cheap.

I've just got a questin. How you get drawn images onto the computer. Never been too good with computers, so I thought I'd just ask.

They take awhile to get used to but are so worth the money! I got a old intuos 2. When I was younger it was the first thing I slowly set aside money for!

I gotta get a new pen though someone broke out the button on my pen and it sometimes works a little wonky. No one in my family fessed up to it before we all split up to our own lives.

a "Tablet" is a laptop that you can "write" on with the pen it has. like a palm pilot, only it is a full blown laptop.

Wacom is supposed to make pretty good tablets.

Right now I'm working on a quick animated ozy in a first attempt to animate lol so far its been 2 and 1/2 hours just to make one second about 3 more hours to go then ahurrr.

But I'm very pleased so far and yes if you like doodling on a computer you gotta get a tablet. They are like a glove you gotta break em in and get used to the feel. Wacom is the only brand I'd trust!

Its not exactly a laptop is more like a flat surface you plug into the usb port of your computer. The points on the pad are relative to the points on the computer screen and when you drag the pen acrossed it you'll have a line up on whatever paint program ya use! There are many different sizes. Mines the 6x8 one I believe, and its plenty big for me
