http://www.ozyandmillie.org/2003/om2003 ... br>Just because you're mid-storyline doesn't mean you have to move the plot along rapidly with every single strip. At least, I hope not, because this is days into the story and I still haven't given the viewer the slightest clue as to where it's going.

In my case--and this is not necessarily advice, it's just an observation--the pacing of the story isn't really a primary consideration. It ranks below technical considerations, like the 3-4 panel a day limit, and the need to have every strip be at least a little self-contained. Sometimes that means every strip has some sort of joke in it, but even when it doesn't, I feel like each one should somehow be a self-contained creation.

This one is just a visual gag, and for me, that was reason enough to put off getting to the point. We'll get there eventually.

Not as funny as the last one, but good nonetheless

I'm still trying to figure out how fast a sculptor Llewelyn must be to create a bronze statue in only the course of a sneeze. Maybe Llewelyn uses a mold on Ozy then breaths fire onto it to quick-dry it, then has it bronzed. That's about the only way I can see making a statue in 5 seconds.

But in order for the scuplture to be life size wouldn't the picture and subsequently the camera also have to be life size as well? I can just imagine a 6 foot high camera being in the attic somewhere!
We're sorry but the number that you have dialed is imaginary....Please turn your phone 90 degrees and try again.

DCS should've ended the comic a year or two ago.

But the statues are 3D, while pics are 2D, so maybe it's a 6-foot camcorder, or a network of cameras.

The very query of how Llewellyn made the sculpture in such a short amount of time is the very joke of the strip. It is not meant to be analized.

Maybe we should not be asking how fast Llewellyn sculpts but rather how slowly Ozy sneezes.

I think this is more of a joke about taking pictures, like in the annual school picture mugshots. Inevitably, some poor kid will have a bad moment in that brief instant teh shutter is released, and the results are just like Ozy's mid-sneeze sculpture. The fact that it was even possible to capture a sneeze in bronze is altogether funny in itself.

Wow, I found a forum that doesn't censor the word "analyze"
