So I was going to say something but I forgot what it was when I noticed that the, um... whatever species that is has a sign that changes with every panel. Is it electronic? Can you get electronic picket signs?

Is it electronic? Can you get electronic picket signs?
For the record, I've known some people who genuinely hated homosexuals, and none of them were right-wing Bible thumpers. They all were victims of sexual harrassment or abuse.

I know people who hate gays but aren't religious, but are also pretty ignorant and have an argument against them that boils down to "But they are icky for some reason"

The sign changes because it's funny to have it that way. A visual joke. That's all there is.
