That's a really awkward punchline, although I am inexplicably tickled by the third panel. That would have been a good place to end the comic, unless you really needed a Millie reaction shot (in which case she should have just facepalmed or walked off-panel while throwing away the paper. Ah well.)

I recommend right clicking over the last panel so that menu comes down and covers it. Then it's pretty funny.

What should Gandhi have been paid for doing? Also didn't he live in poverty by choice?

Well I'm guessing Millie is just thinking why a person who has done much less in her eyes is making more money than someone more important to her. It's the typical fallacy of equating a successful life with income levels.
