...without child
Punchline's pretty meh, but I like the gag when she walks into the bar, which is especially funny given her clutching a rubby ducky.
Where did she pick up the rubber ducky, anyway?

Said rubber ducky, "Ernest" by name, suddenly appeared when she first stepped into the couch world. She didn't have it before then. My guess is she might have been keeping it somewhere in her overalls and brought it out to have something to comfort her in a strange place.

Heh. I kind of like the idea of Millie walking everywhere with a rubber duckie in tow just in case she needs some emotional comfort.

I thought the punchline was good. Oddly this is one of the early strips that stuck in my mind.

The same guy from Mensa who had asked for permission to run an earlier strip in his chatper's newsletter chided me for the "lameness" of this strip. I answered that he had to take it in the context of the whole storyline, and that I was trying to set up the rules of the alternate couch universe.
Hey, can't please everyone.
