Drawn by Bill Holbroock, of Kevin and Kell, which I misread every time as 'Kenan and Kel'.

I like this. Cute joke and cute art, and the only thing in the archives that I'm aware of that actually acknowledges that they're, you know, talking foxes. (Entirely because it's a different artist with a different focus of humor, but, you know.) Back to DCS tomorrow.

I like the comic, but would the band work well as a flea collar if it's outside the hat?

Bill Holbrook's style really suits Ozy and Millie for some reason.

The guy that does Kevin & Kell makes lots of jokes that don't make any sense. Pretty much any joke he makes about computers reveals he apparently has no idea how computers work.

Actually, I think DCS had Millie do the scratching thing in a later strip. Probably because of this one.

Anyway, this one is funny. I like it. :wag:

I don't read Kevin and Kell, but I found this - "Holbrook was the first syndicated cartoonist to invest heavily in online comic strips." It seems his comic has been online since 1995 and if he's been involved with computer since at least that long then I'd think he knows SOME stuff.

Its likely that Holbrook is just simplifying computer jokes for mass consumption so they don't become niche entertainment like in GPF or User Friendly.

All he does is take a computer term and make it literal. Like a fire wall is an actual wall of fire. Or a snake eats the mouse on his computer because LOL a mouse is also a prey animal.

Meanwhile everybody who uses a computer seems to be a master hacker if the story calls for it, and any all information can be acquired by remoting into someone's computer within seconds of doing so, the Kevin was able to not only survive by running a forum, but was able to make so much money he hired another moderator (because random forums have paid mods) and everybody seems to be able to get wireless no matter where they are.

So yes, perhaps jokes are dumbed down for the masses, or maybe Bill Hollbrook is a mother pair of pants.
