So DCS has some deep-seated issues with his elementary school, apparently. I mean... seriously?

Yeah, I get what the joke is, but this little bit of social commentary does not at all jibe with my elementary school experience and it's really rubbing me the wrong way.

Also being a weirdo isn't a wonderful thing. I agree with the roo (in principle).

Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

My cynicism was really in high gear here, wasn't it? I suppose you've guessed that I had some experiences with school authority figures blaming me for failure to conform.

This is the first time I ever showed Ms. Sorkowitz. Her design would evolve a lot. And, it would be some time before her title (is it Miss, Mrs., or Ms.?) would get standardized.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

Thing is, DCS is remembering this from a child's point of view, which is not necessarily the right one.

"Different" would be a good title for some really depressing pseudo-documentary.
