True. But the mention of impeachment (say in a conversation or on a radio, etc.) would have worked. And Clinton was hardly the only politician who has endured impeachment in recent times. (A few years later, Illinois governor Rod Blagoevich got the same fate, but he was convicted quickly with nobody complaining about it.)

What can I say? It was the major news event of the late 1990s, whether I liked it or not, and there was really nothing for it but to write puns.
