I like how there's actually a parcheesi board involved, so it might actually have something to do with the real game.

It could be better, the perspective on the windowsill is totally off. It kinda ruins what could be great random themed strip. I highly doubt that even Millie can change the very fabric of perspective to suit the needs of House Rules Parcheesi. And I did not notice the board initially, thats actually a nice touch.

"House rules parcheesi" is distinct from "Calvinball" in that the latter has no set rules, whereas the former seems to have very specific rules, which are never divulged in the strip, under any circumstances.
I think we only see House Rules Parcheesi two, maybe three, times the entire strip.

Hey, do you guys remember that Calvin and Hobbes storyline where Calvin challenged the babysitter to Calvinball and she beat him at his own game? And then Hobbes made out with himself? Good times.

Bill Watterson said that he felt he needed to elevate the stakes everytime Calvin's babysitter showed up. So in one encounter Calvin stole her notes and in the last time they met before the strip ended they played Calvinball. I don't think Simpson ever did that sort of thing with House Rules Parcheesi.
