Was she ranting from the beginning of recess to the end? Because that's kind of awesome.

The anticipation is always so much sweeter than the execution, and anyway, recess was always much too short to get anything at all done. I mean... fifteen minutes? Why do they bother giving you such a large playground if they're hardly going to give you enough time even to walk to the other side of it before the bell rings? Still, kids have a way of making use of the time you gave them.
I don't know what school DCS went to but the playground at my school was nowhere as big.

I'm sure she was exaggerating, but my school had a pretty big playground, at least the one in the back for the older grades was big.

The fact that she makes plans against jocks for no reason is acceptable in this context since the truth in children making elaborate plans that could never be, and really they never really wanted to, implement is funny enough.

Plus kids make enemies all the time for no reason. At least the jocks aren't being stereotypes.

making enemies with someone for no reason just seems like a really dick thing for someone to do, especially someone like millie, so it doesn't really work for me :?

Our recess was 30 minutes. We got all kinds of stuff done.
We had a kickball game every day we had recess outside.

I still feel more recess would solve many problems.
