Does Millie really need a 'Hang In There' poster?

One thing I always thought odd was Millie's transition from playing (or at least owning one) guitar to playing saxophone, while Ozy made the exact opposite trade-off. At least he actually seemed to know how to play.

Millie played saxophone? thus furthering DCS's desire to live life as a female, a cat, and lisa simpson, through her cartoons.

This is another strip I hold in high regard for how true it was at the time.

It's every kids right to have his room strewn with his belongings.

Well, expressing yourself with posters is kind of limiting. Nothing is quite as expressive as a creative demonstration of entropy.
And the childhood struggle for independence continues.

So, Ms. Mudd just randomly shouts, "Millie clean your room!" whenever Millie is home? My parents always surveyed mine and my sister's rooms before yelling at us to clean them. Actually, my parents always asked us, which usually got better results.

Well, when I was a lad, my parents used to wake us up two hours before we went to sleep, then flog us before sending us to work at t'mill for twenty-five hours at one ha'penny a lifetime, then when we got home they cut off our heads with a sickle and danced on our graves.

At least you only had to go uphill one way. Back in my day, going anywhere meant you had to go uphill both ways!

Going to school? Uphill both ways.
Going to the mall? Uphill both ways.
Going to the grocery store? Uphill both ways.
Going to the bathroom? Uphill both ways.
Going to stop by the post office on the way home from work? Hope you had a big breakfast because now you have to go up three hills!

And the weather? Oh, the weather...

You're doing it wrong. You went straight to the last, worst scenario. No build up between posts.

Mine sang a happy song while they danced on my grave.

My dad never had to go uphill, which is odd because he lived in a mining town with lots of hills, but he did have to walk through the park which according to tales was filled with kidnapping gypsies and wolves.

Oh, Jack, you know what these forum folk are like. It would never have worked! And then Doc Sigma would say something about incest and we'd be back to square one.
