You say "meh" but I remember pretty much everyone at the old DC absolutely loving this bird.

So that's what the old political eagle from I Drew this looked like back in 1998.

This is my first time reading O&M. I've never seen this bird before. I have no predisposed opinions about this bird.
Nor am I 'meh' about the bird himself (first appearance of a character is hard to judge the character and all). I'm 'meh' about the strip. I really have no opinion of it. I don't like it. I don't hate it. It's just... there.

Oh, I'm not saying your opinion is wrong or anything, I'm just making a note. I was never crazy about the bird either. At least I don't think I was.

Hai guyz, sometimes the media overreacts about political stuff.

Calling the comic "Lyndon the yelling bird" is funnier then the strip itself.

I don't remember that being the original title, I feel like it was slightly different...?

I like the bird dude fine, and the strip is alright, but I'm glad he got abandoned pretty quickly. He seems like a one-joke kinda character.

I remember, I could never figure out why. I think someone even asked DCS if Lyndon would show up again, when DCS was still posting here.

probably for the same reason why we liked the other random characters. Like emily the skunk, she was only good for a one-time gag and was included as an extra in a few other strips just because DCS knew how to draw a skunk girl, there wasn't really any potential for her to grow.

I have it on good authority that Isolde replaced Lyndon. Possibly by eating him.

I believe it used to be "The debut of Lyndon the yelling bird."

I have no love for Lyndon. Also, it was DCS who said that when Isolde became a regular character, there was no longer any need for Lyndon.
No real comment on the strip. It's neither good nor bad, just there.

Lyndon was only in like three strips, I'm surprised DCS even considered Lyndon significant enough to say that he was replaced by Isolde.
