I really don't like this one. The punchline comes across as forced and talky in its attempt to explain itself, and the first panel is completely pointless. Frankly, I'd rather have had two strips with some bizarre dialogue from the television, and then the punchline be 'We'll return to our Saturday movie, 'Benny the Neurotic Reindeer', after these messages".

Agree on all points, though I'd use "The Night The Reindeer Died" starring Lee Majors. :)

I used to know a guy who was big and named Roy. It's kind of funny actually picturing him doing a car ad actually.

I know the "loud advert." problem quite good... you're watching a film (normaly stopping at a quiet scene), then a big bang and crap ads are running over the tv... P*ssing me off

"Benny The Neurotic Reindeer" always makes me laugh for some reason.

Millie appears to be watching tv in a white void. Seems like DCS has an idea where to go with this one but never really got there. The punchline isn't really a punchline, just alot of talking.
