Still a little early in the comic, but this is one of my favorites. Something about it I just find really cute and relatable. I know what it's like to have determination at odds with delusion.
And I like Barry Manilow.

I remember an old "Overboard" comic strip where one pirate captain is captured and threatened by rival pirates, and the first captain declares that whatever torture is done to him, he would never reveal the combination to his safe. Then one of his capturers says, "Bring me the Barry Manilow album.", and the captain gives the safe combination.

The good thing with the word "alternative" is that it works in just about any age. I remember when them Romantics were upsetting fine folks and causing a brouhaha over accepted and established social and political norms just because the iron heel of unrestrained amoral progress was crushing the obsolete wonders of nature and artistic endevour out of humanity. Who has time for butterflies and poetry when I could be crushing the will of children in my factories and hobnobbing with the aristocratic elite?

Looking at it now, this strip is pretty cute.
