But that's not Ozy. Ozy is the kind of kid who plays along according to his own rules and his own logic; to feign being dead and then spring up zapping would defy who he is. He wants to play with her, but not this particular game, so he contorts it to his own way of playing; something of a logic puzzle, or a little way to push buttons. He doesn't want to run around and get sweaty and hot and sticky and gross, but he does want to interact, he doesn't want to be lonely, and he still wants to be himself.
But at this point we don't know these about Ozy yet, he could very well have responded in any way. Actually, now I remember in these early years how much more of a kid Ozy could be before he turned into a sentient amana freezer.
And that's just terrible.

I was actually talking about his demeanor in the first three strips. He didn't agree to it right off the bat and tried instead to logic his way around the game; for the first three strips, I can make the leap that he's just not the kind of kid that overexerts himself for no reason, or plays along for no reason. I wasn't; if I wasn't in the mood, I'd get into logic arguments with other people about why I wasn't playing along so they'd stop doing whatever they were doing (or at least stop trying to get me to play along with them).
