Well, Raine is that kid's property. How often does property ask for the same consideration as a TRUE best friend. We call dogs "Man's Best Friend", but if dog's were truly sentient and behaved no differently than any human, would man really be DOG'S best friend if people treated thinking dogs the way we treat dogs in the real world? It would be a pretty one sided friendship, I would imagine.Does anyone else think the last panel is odd? The kid seems upset that Raine needs a rest and Raine is looking at the frisbee strangely.
Point taken. It makes more sense when I look at it with your POV. Thanks!Well, Raine is that kid's property. How often does property ask for the same consideration as a TRUE best friend. I imagine the title of this chapter, "On the Fence" is more a metaphor for Raine's frame of mind. She still loves her person but is at the beginnings of her self-exploration and yearning to be free..
actually it is a reference to the fact that they are sitting on a fenceI imagine the title of this chapter, "On the Fence" is more a metaphor for Raine's frame of mind. She still loves her person but is at the beginnings of her self-exploration and yearning to be free..
