So Octan added the stripes himself? He sure knows how to spice a strip that's low on visual interest.

Am I the only one that thinks Millie looks weird in this one?

Only in the first panel, as far as I'm concerned.

I didn't understand this strip at first. A couple rereadings later epiphany hit me like a sack of lemon wrapped gold bricks. This comment isn't really vital to the conversation.

You may want to cut back on the Pangalactic Gargle Blasters. The brains work a bit better without 'em.

Getting sleep helps too.

I don't have any style myself, so I copy others.

Remember, stealing from one source is plagarism, but stealing from multiple sources is research. :P

Phah! I scorn all your suggestions! Especially the one about sleep and wombats!

No, they were there already, just black. I masked the layer so I could change the ink color without coloring into the white area. (It's kinda complicated.) You can still see where Simpson left a white line between the stripe and the black part of Millie's right ear. Which I probably should have filled in but whatever.

It's not that complicated :)

You just coloured the general area of the black lines and set the colouring layer's blending mode to 'screen', right? :P
