IRC help needed

I have only been reading the comic for about 2 weeks (I'm around 2002) and I noticed you guys had an IRC channel... only for your server to confuse me with a bot... I can not get in at all, and all my info is as legit as it is going to get ^.^
can any one help me? and I am also going to actually join the forum it's self to so hia everyone I guess

Try using
this,and then joining the channel.

The server has quite a few antiasshole measures in place, but this also means you can't have things like aaaaaaaaaaaa for a nick or for any of your information fields, or an IP that matches known open proxies. What exactly kind of error are you getting?

The server will K-line you for no obvious reason; in my case it was because my real name was set to Nick Spün, which is apparently bot enough to be K-lined. Changing that let me on.
