How to "fix" long topics when they break

Sometimes when you go to a really long topic, such as "Exchanging Letters" or "Word Association", you will get an error message stating that no posts exist for this topic. Here's how to fix that.
Click on the last page of the topic and look at the URL, it will look something like this...
http://www.definecynical.net/viewtopic. ... tart=16170
Now, manually change that last number so that it's one less, and try again. If it fails, repeat the process a few times. Eventually it will work!
I don't know if this is common knowledge; if so, I apologize for wasting people's time.

I just go to the page before the "last" page... Voila.
Or go to the first page and click "reply." It will show you the most recent posts if you scroll down. Useful if you only need to know the last thing said I.E. Word Association.

No no no, I don't mean for the admins to do anything... I mean for you yourself to do it, like manually edit the URL and go there. But...

This works even better! I never thought of it.
